Alan HARRIS Obituary
On September 30, 2021, at Thorrington Rest Home, Christchurch. Dearly loved husband of the late Katrina. Much loved father, father-in- law and grandfather of the late David; Margaret and Murray and Olivia, Tom and Joe Sandes; Kathryn and Stephen and Andrew and Rachel Denne, all of Christchurch. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne and Peter Le Quesne of Napier, and the late Ian. Messages to the Harris Family, C\- PO Box 31300, Christchurch 8444. Alan's wider family and friends are invited to the celebration of his life to be held at the Beckenham Baptish Church, entrance off 7a Percival Street, Beckenham, on Wednesday, October 6 at 11.00am. Private interment to follow.

It truly saddens me to learn of Alan's death. He was a great help to me when I was researching some of my Wells family histories. I had the pleasure of meeting with Alan and Katrina when I was invited to join them at a Blenheim Genealogy Group, meeting. A really lovely, caring couple with whom I corresponded for quite a few years. I still have a collection of his newsletters that he edited for the BGG; always full of interesting historical stories on Marlborough and its people. To his family, my heartfelt condolences.

A great friend over many years. Many Happy memories of working together in Boys Brigade and at St Ninians, Blenheim. Will miss our visits when in Christchurch.
