SMITH, Allen:

Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Lister Home Waimate; in his 91st year. Dearly loved husband of the late Nora Smith. Cherished father and father in-law of Sue and Stu Hunter, Gillian (Gill) Smith and Graham Farnell, Janet McGrath and Murray Davies, and Bill and Fiona Hester-Smith. Much treasured grandad and great-grandad to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grateful thanks to the staff at Lister Home for the wonderful care given during his time there. Thanks also to his special friends that gave comfort in his final years. A celebration of Allen's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 11 John Street, Waimate on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11.00am, followed by burial at the Oamaru Cemetery.
