(nee Guy, Brownson):
On May 3, 2016, peacefully at Springlands
Lifestyle Village, Blenheim,
in her 84th year. Loved wife of the late Brian (Plugga) and formerly Eril (Huck). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Lorraine and Anne, Dallas and Denise, Kaye and Bruce. Loved Nana of Jeremy and Shona; Karl, Ricki, Liam and Crystina, Joshua; Carlene and Ryan, Dallas and Teejay, and great-grandmother of Lincoln and Winter; Savannah, Oliver and 'Bump'. A special friend of Andy, and a loved aunty of her nieces and nephews. Messages to C/- PO Box 9, Blenheim 7240. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cancer Society, PO Box 223, Blenheim, would be appreciated. A funeral for Betty will be held at the Church of the Nativity, Alfred Street, Blenheim, on Monday, May 9, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.

Another addition to my previous message to Betty's family.On reflection Betty and Brian were my neighbours for 20yrs.They saw me through the lowest part of my life and the highest.Each day would begin with a wave thru the kitchen windows and end with another big wave while doing the dinner dishes.I still live in the same home so each day remember the best neighbours anyone could have.I loved them both.

To Lorraine and Dallas and families my sincere sympathy at Betty's passing. The Guy family was rather large and now seems to be shrinking. My thoughts are with you at this time.

Betty was my neighbour for 15+ yrs.Best neighbour anyone could have.She became my second mother,and a wonderful friend.Both her and dear Brian were always there for both myself and my children.
I am deeply saddened by her passing and my heartfelt sympathy goes to all her family.
I truly miss the "Smithies"from next door.
