Brian Merritt Obituary

Brian Wayne Merritt, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2024 at his home in Conway. Brian was born September 1, 1980, the oldest of 6 siblings, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dennis and Kay Konecny Merritt.
Brian enjoyed, hunting, shooting guns and being outdoors. When he was younger, all he wanted to do was spend his time with his "Peepaw" on the farm. He took that knowledge and went on to run heavy equipment and was known for that talent all over Arkansas. Brian was funny, loved to joke around and believed in having a good time.
Brian was survived by his mother, Kay Konecny Merritt of Roland; his grandmother, Cathy Konecny of Stuttgart; a daughter, Joshlynn Melvin of Jonesboro and a son, Westan Merritt of Ferndale. He had one brother, Brandon (Kayla) Merritt of Stuttgart, sisters; Brooke (Josiah) Cobb of Roland; Blair (Kevin) Small of Roland; Blake (Zac) Merritt of Little Rock and Brett (Steve ) Ray of Alexander. He leaves numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will always remember him.
A service will be held for Brian at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak, Arkansas on November 23, 2024 at 1:00pm.
