Having just arrived home from a few days away we have seen Brians Death notice. All of us Kids Of the late Nan and Merve Staples would like to offer our best wishes and sympathy to all the family. Our memories of our holidays up the Valley as we called it were full of rides on the tractor trailer with Brian driving and cups of tea at the big house. Regards Janet Noble [Staples]

So sad to hear of Brians passing. I used to live in the top valley house years ago and had many chats with Brian and his wife. Lovely down to earth man. My sympathies are with Frances and family

To Frances & Family - deepest sympathy in the loss of Brian. Our family go back 60 odd years ago when we lived at our Te Rau farm in Northbank and had a lot to do with the Powell Family. Many fond memories of Brian, his mum and dad and siblings. Best wishes from the Pope Family (ex Seddon).

Sorry to hear of Brians passing;we enjoyed our chats over the fence as he tended the garden and loaded another load of firewood. He will be sorely missed by all who new him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of grieving and rejoicing in the memory of a life well lived.
Rest now in peace Brian.
