Awww Daphne it was hard saying goodbye to you when Whareama was closing. You told me you would always have wonderful memories of it and you were looking forward to walking around the gardens at Kensington Court. I remember the day Stoke school visited Whareama and the children aged about 8 years old got to choose a resident to ask them questions about their lives. My granddaughter chose you. You were fascinated by her flashing shoes she had on. And then both of you started talking about the past and the present. It was lovely to see and hear you both chatting to each other like old friends. My granddaughter Lily never forgot you and you always asked me how she was doing. Shes now 14 years old and still remembers you with love. Thankyou Daphne for those memories xxx.
