Darryl NORMAN Obituary

NORMAN, Darryl Neil:
23.3.1964 - 28.12.2022
Passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded and held by his loving family. So very loved and cherished by his wife and soulmate Cecilia (Ces) and his sons Matt and Josh. Beloved son of Neil and Gaynor, and treasured brother of Karlene and step son of Renee (dec). Loved father-in-law and Grandad to Amanda, Emma, Regan, Jaxon, Karter, Ashton and Emelia. Also a very special step brother to Tracy, Brony and Glen and a loved brother-in-law. Darryl was so loved by so many and will leave a print on our hearts forever. His greatest legacy is his loving family and friends who thought he was nothing short of a legend! Special thanks to the amazing District Nurses who provided invaluable help during Darryl's final days and also to Raj Kumar and the teams at Mercy Hospital and Hospice who were always on call during Darryl's journey over the last year. There will be a celebration of Darryl's life in the Lowburn Community Hall, 58 Lowburn Valley Road, Cromwell, at 1.00pm on Wednesday, January 4, followed by private cremation. Live streaming at
www.affinityfunerals.co.nz In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 102 Hall Road, Bannockburn, Cromwell 9384.

Ces, sorry to read of Darryl's passing. I'll always remember him trimming the treetops so that the cottages would get better wifi reception. The only way to know he was up there was you on the ground worrying, and the falling tree limbs as proof he was really up there. He will be missed.
