I am saddened to hear about David's passing - Mr Gullery to me.
He was my first boss back in the butchers shop in town some 45 years ago. Both Mr amd Mrs Gullery installed a work ethic, morals and a sense of humour that is still with me today and i sincerly thank both for this.
Mr Gullery, you are a great well respected man, rest well.
Oh - and the time I cut my finger...I never will forget being sent to the chemist for a finger sheath as 13 year old school boy.... Very funny.

I will miss the late (mid) afternoon "Time for a wine girl". Not a question but a given. It was a time for a catch up, story-time, wise words shared and always a belly laugh or two. He was a fun, wise and loving Grandad to our son's. Your memory will endure in your own son (Scott) and the lovely young men Brett and Campbell have become listening and learning from their Grandad. And in time their own families will come to know you, as your stories are shared and all their cherished memories of you will live on. Rest easy David. P.S. Never trust a man in white shoes!

A fond memory of mine with Grandad David is when we used to stand outside on his balcony at Picton and cook this, that and the next thing on his mini barbecue. While doing this we would talk about everything ranging from politics to whether or not I was a "ladies man". For all these reasons and so much more is why I will forever love and cherish that I got to share times with this lovely, caring and kind man. He was always willing to spend time even if it messed up his schedule. I will miss you dearly Grandad and I hope they serve wine wherever you are because I know your love of it. Xx your Grandson - Campbell
