Douglas David (Doug):
On Friday, September 8, 2017, at his home in Blenheim. Aged 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Mavis. Much loved father of Grant, Rod, Glenn, and Penelope and their respective spouses/partners Marg, Karen, Rachel, and Reg. A great friend and confident to all his family, many friends and sailing mates throughout the years. Doug touched the lives of so many.
''He will be greatly missed"The Funeral Service for Doug will be held at Northbrook Chapel and Rossburn Receptions, Spark Lane (off Northbrook Rd), Rangiora on Thursday, September 14, at 1.30pm. Private cremation thereafter.

A very special uncle who always made me welcome. Many warm memories of the Sounds and touring south-west England in the "biscuit tin on wheels" in1970something; being chased off Stonehenge by an official! RIP dear Uncle Doug.

In memory of a man who had the vision to purchase the Rotorua sawmill 45 years ago and who has been very supportive ever since.
A real people person who took as much interest in the staff and their families as he did with the business.
Doug's legacy will not be forgotten.
