Duella DEVLIN Obituary

Born September 29, 1940, passed away September 6, 2023, aged 82 years. Beloved wife of Christopher "Larry" (deceased). Devoted mother of Paul, Tony and Mark. Adored grandmother of Vhari-Jane, Rosalie and Finnbar. Daughter of Mary and Arthur Smaill (deceased), whom she loved and appreciated so much. Sister to Geoffrey (deceased), Diana, Robin, Craig and Jillian. Friend to many, some for a lifetime. Duella was passionate about Picton and the lifestyle it offers. Sending much love to the family. Had the privilege of looking after Duella a number times at Wairau Hospital. Given we shared a love of quilting and all things crafty, I very much enjoyed spending my break times sitting in her room eating our lunches and comparing craft projects. We had some great laughs and I know both of our spirits were raised during that time.

My condolences to the Devlin Boys and their families on the passing of your mother.Heather and I were at her 80th birthday.A lovely evening was had by all.Duella also taught me sewing at Rangiora High school way back in1962 when she was Miss Smaille.
