It is with great sadness that we learned of Ted's sudden passing. Unfortunately I was on an All Blacks supporters tour in the USA at the time and could not pay my last respects to him. I knew Ted to have some wonderful attributes - a great knowledge of the sea and fishing, he was incredibly generous and a loyal friend just to mention a few. As someone said when we were away, if it hadn't been through Ted & Gwen's famous "Blue Bus" reunions we as a group would not have stayed together. Unfortunately most of the group was in the US. When we got together in Chicago we all toasted Ted's friendship after the AB's game.
Rest in peace good friend. Dave Hunter and your "Blue Bus" friends.

Ted was a Good Doer and a fine Man of Principal.
He was there as the President of The Commercial Fishermans Federation in the formative years of the QMS and played an integral roll in the many many meetings to make sure that things were done equitably and to reinforce the ethicacy of systems being run from the bottom up, to ensure every mans view got a fair hearing.

His wise council around our Cramac table helped guide us with many of our more difficult decisions. His keen sense of humor and kindness will be missed by us all.
His Legacy of Fair Play and Doing things right the first time, will live on.
''Twas great to know you Ted and share stories and the awesome experiences of life spent on the Briney.

Go Well Ted; I reckon You slid up to the Pearly Gates, all used up, after a life Full to the brim with Living

Kindest Regards.
