We knew Eric for many years, since my mum worked with him at the bank and we have had many years in the holiday home in Taupo
In loving memory of a wonderful person.

This is a note from the Williamson family - Paul, Anne, Ryan & Blake who are currently overseas on holiday when they heard the news of Eric´s passing.
We would like to pass on our heartfelt condolences to Roger, Geoff & Jackie, Raewyn & Jono. Our thoughts and prayers are with you & also your families too.
My mum first met Eric when they worked together at the Upper Hutt National Bank. Some years later after Eric & Ros had built their Taupo holiday home we met up by chance with them in Taupo township. Mum later asked Eric if he rented out their holiday home. Eric replied for us he would. That started our now 27 years of wonderful memorable summer holidays at "Roslyn´s Rest".
We were fortunate to have met Ros once while holidaying with mum in Taupo. We know how much Eric really missed Ros. Eric did join us one time for a holiday with our family too. And he enjoyed walks with us along the lake. The days were finished with a BBQ & as Eric liked with a few cold beers!! Eric would sometimes join us for a dinner or BBQ at home at our place & we always had fun,and enjoyed his company & his funny sense of humour, often at the expense of the Aussies.
We will miss him. Gone but not forgotten!
Love from the Williamson family

Eric was a fantastic neighbour. We spent many nice times together over a meal and many chats at the letterbox. He was also a great mate to our old cat Gryf who visited him almost every day. Sending our heartfelt condolences to the family. Maree and Steve

So sad. Eric and I worked together for two years in Upper Hutt in the early eighties and became good friends. We enjoyed regular dinner dates with him and Ros, and Eddie and Pat Wheeler and these continued for the following five years that we lived just on the other side of Fergusson Drive. We extend our deepest sympathy to Eric's family.
