Another Totara has fallen. Takoto Mai Franky Rest In Peace of a life long and fully lived.
When I was born Frank and Yvonne were appointed to be my godparents as he was a great mate of my dad Kerry Love. I remembered one day when I was looking at some house parts to purchase and I asked if he had any Godson rates. He quoted Yes but they are dearer that the public. When I got married in 1989 he was asked if he could speak on behalf of both families at the wedding as he was also good mates with my future father in law Les Hope. In typical Franky style as he finished speaking on my behalf and in his own words as he announced "and now to the second leg of the double"
He was certainly a man well known by many people from all walks of life and will be missed by many.
E te whanau pani Kia kaha Kia tatou katoa. Tatou nga urupa o ratou ma.
To the families left behind have strength and know that he will live on within each of you.

It was with a heavy heart that I heard the news of Uncle Frank passing. A true kiwi battler that built an amazing life story and family. Francis T was so well known in the upper South Island I was always so proud to say I was related whenever I met someone from Blenheim. A serial entrepreneur seeing opportunity when others walked bye. The stories of his tradings and escapades are legendary, and what a story teller he was, second to none. My times staying with the family as a young lad are etched into my memory forever. Always so much fun and love. As aunty Y always used to say he was the eternal teenager, as he dropped a stink bomb in the post office foyer as a 50 year old!!
Rest in peace uncle Frank, the Foxes would have loved to share in your farewell but alas we couldn´t make it work. You were the last link to my father Thomas Fox and the bond you two had was unbreakable.
Regards to all of the family, what a journey you have been on with the most remarkable Father you could have ever asked for.
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

My childhood is packed with so many memories of times at 'the farm'
I always had to be on guard as I never knew what Frank would do next. The house was always full of love and laughter and people were always coming and going. The wool shed was an iconic place to be for parties and the best part was being delivered home on the back of the truck!
A life certainly well lived and jam packed with achievements and memories - rest easy Frank - lol is that going to happen?
Thoughts to the whole family and special big hugs to my friend and Frank's youngest Cherie - looking forward to seeing you later today xx

Frank. You were a true battler in your own words. I enjoyed your company, your stories, and wheeling and dealing in the woodshed. But I never quite understood your scales.

Dear Francis T
Have to say I loved working with you at Marlborough District Council and have many fond memories.
I think of you every time I turn into Battys Road from New Renwick Road and of course the farm park development. I still chuckle about your story of being nearly tossed out with the hospital laundry when you were a patient !
A privilege to have shared time with you Francis T
and always respecting your love of Yvonne..your Bride.
Rest in Peace

When visiting from the UK I always stayed with Frank and the family. I loved listening to his stories and observations on life in general. They don't make em like Frank anymore. He was a wonderful unique individual and his family were lucky to have kept him for so long. May God keep you safe Frank and rest easy.
