To Jo and whanau so sadden to hear of Grenville's passing. I have special memories of my time shared with him at Whitney Street School on the Board of Trustees, where he shared both his knowledge, wisdom and passion for education. The lad from Southland taken way to soon. Tino Arohanui Viv Tuhimata-Weke.

A fantastic neighbour and family man always ready with a witty retort. Will be sorely missed by us all. Jo, Hannah, Elliot and Leah, please know that we are all thinking of you.

Jo and family, You already know how great Grenville was, I can't believe such a great man could be taken so early. It doesn't seem that long ago we were all playing golf winning the Fairhall Cup. Grenville also unselfishly started a split in payments to all working golf committee members, lessening his to help pay for that. You are a good bugger Gren, You are an amazing man RIP you will be missed.

So very sad to hear this news. Have many fond memories of fun times with Grenville and Jo. Will remember him fondly always. Debbie Harrison xx

So sorry to hear this news. Was privileged to work with Grenville in Invercargill. A wonderful sense of humour and a true gentleman. A sad loss.

So shocked to hear Gren. had passed away. He called on me in Auckland just 12 months ago and we chatted about having another hit at Pollard when I get back. Just a great guy, family and Dad.

Our thoughts are with you all. We all need to appreciate what we have as you just don't know how long you have with those you love. remember the good times and special moments.

Passed away on February 28, 2015, after a courageous battle, surrounded by his family. Much loved eldest son of Doug and Margaret (Invercargill), and a loved brother and brother-in-law of Elaine McEvoy and Russell Paterson, Lyndal and Ian McDonald, Craig and Jackie (London), and Paul and Jill (Launceston). A loved uncle of Nick, Caitlin, Eve, Maggie, Isla, Scarla and Theo.
