Such wonderful memories of Jean & Ken who was my godfather. When I went nursing at Wairau Hospital spent many weekends with the family and many of my friends I made also spent time with them. Jean was a wonderful dressmaker who made my wedding & bridesmaid dresses. Was fortunate to visit her in May when we were down from the North Island. Jean RIP and my thoughts with the family treasure the memories.

So sorry to hear of Jean's passing, thinking of you all. Jean was a great boss, a hard worker, and a "second Mum" to me. We had lots of laughs, working above the McHugh Supermarket in Queen Street. When the theatre opened we had long days and nights, however it was fun too. RIP Jean. Hope you voted before you left us! Love to all. Glenda
