A go kart meeting in Dunedin 50 years ago introduced me to Jill. I was coming to live in Christchurch and at that stage had no accommodation. Jill casually said come and stay with us until you have found something, That finding something never happened and what a marvellous home you gave me for over a year.
You showed me so many things with your extremely talented hands from knitting, I still have the amazing arran jersey that you knitted Michael and won´t ever give it away, sewing, cake decorating, fabulous food, making Stephanie´s beautiful flower girls frock for our wedding and always with a happy smiling face.
Weekends spent at the track with David and Stephanie watching you and Neil flying around at full speed. You were certainly not afraid of driving at speed and winning . Even now 40 plus years on Hayley and Rhys always remark about the amazing iced Easter eggs you sent.
In latter years you have joined us in Dunedin with my patchwork group and come to Symposiums. Wearable Arts in Wellington where you bought Stephanie that beautiful frock. Rallying in Otago with the extended family.
You have been an amazing friend that has bought many hours of happiness and laughter.
Jill your bubbly personality will be sadly missed by many, but those of us lucky enough to have known you will always have beautiful memories that will help us through this time of loss.

Was so saddened to hear of Jills passing. Knew Jill in her days at new World when it was where the Farmers are now. Always good for a laugh and a pick me up. Sadly, to my shame, I lost touch with Jill over the years but her smile is forever in my mid. May you all find strength and comfort in the memories and stories you will share.
