John COLUMBUS Obituary
On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, John went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Aged 61 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Ros (Roslyn), and much loved and special Dad of Ben and Bel (Cairns), Aaron and Honor, Josh and Tessa, Jordan, Rebekah, Robbie, Lydia. A much loved grandad of Leon. A much loved brother and brother-in-law of Kaye and Rob, (the late) Anne, Kevin and Robyn, Mike and Julie, Elizabeth and Malcolm. Loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I knew John through his work. He was always so willing to share his skilled knowledge with others. He was held in very high regard. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Johns passing. I had the privilege of playing soccer for Marlborough with John in the good old days. A good man gone to soon. RIP mate.

I was saddened to hear of John's passing. Our thoughts are with you all. He was a special man and an amazing talent on the footy field. I and many others learnt a lot from playing with John. He was a great mentor. Also copped a few elbows from him too from time to time at practice. Always a good challenge to get the ball off him. I have many fond memories of the many years playing footy with John. He will be sadly missed.

I coached John back in the seventies with Blenheim Utd He was a talented young footballer and a fine young man. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his untimely passing. My sincere condolences to all his family
