John CURWOOD Obituary
Late of Karori – On Sunday 25th August 2024, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Edith. Loving father & father-in-law of Kent & Anne-Marie, Andrea & Simon, Ferrida & Craig. Devoted grandfather of Aaron, Dayna, Annabelle, Sean & Charlie. Son of Alfred & Anna Curwood. Brother of Ivan, Ron (Dec), Bill (Dec). Loved by all his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Huntleigh Home for their care & support of John. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society NZ would be appreciated. A service for John will be held at St Ninian's Uniting Church, 208 Karori Road, Karori, Wellington on Friday 30th August at 1:00pm. This service will be livestreamed on the Tributes website. John was my headmaster at Kakanui School a lot of decades ago, and I occasionally baby sat his young children. He was always friendly, kind and helpful, a lovely man.
