John MAURICE Obituary

(Formerly of Picton). On February 21, in Hutt Hospital; aged 68 years after a brave and determined battle to stay with us as long as possible. Cherished father, grandad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Over 50 years of service in rail, passionate about music, history, family and pies. A memorial service is being held at Tua Marina Cemetary at 1.30pm on Saturday 8 March 2025. John's wife Tam will bring his ashes to be interred in the grave of his late wife Patrice. Following the service, you are invited to join us at The Crow Tavern in Picton for some nibbles and to share your memories of John. Tam, Edward, Tara, Donald, Rupa, Renee and Joe would like to thank the staff at Hutt Hospital for their care of John as well as Kāpiti Coast Funeral Home, Sowmans and Fr Jacob Kuman.
