Im in Perth, and just found out of Joe's passing at the end of last year, so shocked and sorry to hear this news. Joe and I went to the Nelson Aviation college at the same time, sitting our Commercial Pilots Licences, I realised early when we first met, Joe was a kind and generous character, but also not afraid to give his opinion!
We lost touch over the years, but reunited again last year (2024) and chatted through Facebook, I made a promise to catch up with him, next time I was in NZ, ... "sorry mate, I left it too late"
