16.5.1932 - 22.1.2017Passed away peacefully at the Redwood Retirement Home, Blenheim, on January 22, 2017, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of Alison for 62 years. Father and father-in-law of Tony (Perth, WA), Sue and Gordon Lang, the late Lesley, Debbie and Kevin Allen (Coffs Harbour, NSW), and the late Peter. Much loved grandfather of Chris, Brendon and Hayley, Nicola and Robert, Owen, Emily and Calem, Michelle and Amanda, and great-grandfather of Stella, Tyler, Max, Oliver, Clianah, Amelia, Ava, Jordy, William and Jethro. Messages to 42 Tremorne Avenue, Blenheim 7201. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St John c/- PO Box 467, Blenheim 7240 would be appreciated or may be made at the service. Special thank you to the staff at Redwood Retirement Home for their great work in recent weeks. A Funeral Service for Laurie will be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street, Blenheim, on Wednesday, January 25, at 1.00pm, followed by a private interment.
