Enjoyed Wonderful family holidays with Lesley in Opotoki, Stewart Island and Ranfurly. Many happy memories of times learning about New Zealand's birds and trees.

She was a valued friend who elevated me to be her honorary sister of which I was very proud as I was an only child!!!

I will also miss her beautiful embroidery!!!

Lesley was a very valued friend for over 70 years, she was a wonderful cycle touring partner back in the day, with many shared experiences.

I am very sorry I did not get a chance to say goodbye. Lesley was a great friend on Stewart Island. She introduced Marguerite to me and we have been married for 35 years. Our children knew Lesley in their younger years when we visited her regularly in Opotiki. On various occasions when we visited her, we went camping up the Waimana valley, we went bird spotting, we went tramping, swimming, botanising and we even played golf! Her fruit and veges were always proudly presented on the table and she was pedantic about table manners! The kids did not know what to think and it was only in later years they realised the benefit of the discipline that Lesley instilled into them. Shewill be sorely missed and even though we had not seen her in recent years, we think fondly of the influence she had in our lives. Rest in Peace. Love from Herb, Marguerite, Amanda and Benjamin.
