Lesley TOWNSEND Obituary

Condolences to the family, I have Memories of lovely Lesley, nurse colleague, toastmasters friend. A long life well lived.

I remember Lesley from her time as Paediatric District Nurse at Wairau. A much respected and well loved woman. My condolences to family.

A loved and respected nurse and member of Marlborough Toastmistress Club. Enjoyed her speeches on Trevor fitting out the bus and their travels in it. Our thoughts are with you Greg and Marj.

Mrs Townsend used to work with my mother Pearl Pope, at Homedale, I remember when I had my first child, mum's first grandchild, mum went to work and woke her up, Mrs Townsend told mum she should have known better than to do that,All the nurses on duty that night had turns at getting my girl back to sleep

In later years I would see her at the Salvation Army shop, she would always ask how my mum and dad were
