I was shocked to learn today of Martin´s tragic accident. He was always so friendly and engaging. My late husband, Dick McArthur, a merino sheep and wool classer helped me organise the COStud Merino Breeders annual ram sales in Cromwell. We met up with Martin at Merino tours, A&P shows and at Merino NZ functions. I have fond memories of Jim and Ailsa also.

To Lyn and family, This is a massively up setting and very sad time. Martin was such an engaging and likable fellow. He had a generous spirit and gave willingly. We will miss his easy conversation and ready smile at the Ward Show and around the Awatere district.
We regret Martins absence from everyone´s lives, but are thankful to have known him.
Please accept our sincere sympathy.
