Mary PENINGTON Obituary

On October 8, 2024 peacefully at Burlington Care Centre, Christchurch, surrounded by her family, aged 82 years. Loved wife of Robert (Bob) Penington, for 60 years, much loved mother of Tracey and Caroline, Lynda and Richard. Adored Grandmother of Hannah, Josh, and Brianna. Loved sister of Anne, Pam, John, Staff, and Ted, loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held in the John Rhind chapel, entrance from Whitmore Street only, on Monday 14th October at 1.00pm, followed by burial at the Belfast Cemetery. Just watched the livestream. What a wonderful sendoff for Mary. To Bob,Tracey&Lyndaand families/friendsyou did Mary proud. I treasure the memories l have from softball days in the 80’s.

Oh we are so so sorry to hear of Mary´s passing, that is so sad for you all, especially you Bob an old school mate in Reefton,with Val, I believe Mary was a wonderful dentist at the primary school there in Reefton also after I left school,.And she was one of my lovely Golf friends in Blenheim when we played golf a lot together, I really enjoyed her laughter and happiness Big condolences to Tracey and Lynda and especially you Bob.we both love you all heaps.Lots of love and care Val & Ike
