Passed away peacefully at Bethsaida Retirement Village on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Aged 96 years. Dearly loved wife of the late George Richard Sumby. Much loved mother of Linda, Edward, Neville, Yvonne, Chrissy, Denise and families, including 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Bethsaida Retirement Village for the compassionate care from the staff, nurses and carers on her last days. Dear Linda and family, We have fond memories of your mother, especially from the sommer of '84/85 when Arne & I came with Leonie to the old bach in the sounds for a wonderful holiday. Maureen, George and all the others - your fantastic hospitality and the magical place! We drove past in 1995 and saw the new house. Maureen was a valued member of the Kenepuru sounds rural women,we enjoyed many activities, walks, book club,line dancing,garden visits, we will miss that loverly smile .
