On August 31, 2016, suddenly at home, after a short illness, in her 68th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Ray. A loved mother and mother-in-law of Nicola and Dallas, David, and Aaron, and a loved Nan of Macaela, Caleb and Chanel. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Diane and Glyn, Raymond and Joy.

Messages to 26 Windsor Close, Blenheim 7201. A celebration of Mavis's life will be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street, Blenheim, on Tuesday, September 6, at 1.00pm, followed by interment of ashes at the Fairhall Cemetery.

Very shocked to learn of dear Mavis's passing. We were away in Wellington, so belatedly we offer our sincere sympathy to her whole family. Truly a beautiful woman and a lovely friend, gone too soon.

Hi Nicky, so sorry & shocked to hear about your lovely Mum who I loved to bits. We know where she is, but I am very sorry and know you will be very sad. I still can't believe it myself, so can only imagine how hard this is for you. She was (and is!) unique and irreplaceable with a great sense of style and humour.
