Michael (Mike):
On December 3, 2015, at Springlands Lifestyle Village, after a short illness, aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband of Joan and a much loved father and father-in-law of Greg and Lisa, Stephen and Jenelle, Rosalind (Polly) and Rod Twist. Loved grandfather of Lydia-Mae and Saffron; Daisy, Charlie and Archie, Oban, Freddie and Plumm. Messages to c/- PO Box 9, Blenheim 7240. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Marlborough Hospice, c/- PO Box 411, Blenheim 7240, would be appreciated or may be made at the service. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Church of the Nativity, Alfred Street, Blenheim, on Tuesday, November 8, at 1.00pm, followed by private cremation.

I remember Michael's fine sportsmanship on the basketball court having played against him several times. He was outstanding in manner and ability and will be loss to the many sporting friends win both cricket and basketball. May his memory be forever blessed and his family comforted. The To the Wilson family - please accept my condolences in the passing of Mike . My own health didn't allow me to travel over from Nelson for Mike's funeral . In earlier days we shared a few ales & I often had him on re his bowling action which as an opening batsman was a foolish thing to do . The fastest bowler I have ever faced . I am sad to lose another cricketing mate although we haven't seen a lot of each other in recent years . RIP Mike .
