Dear Marg and family. I was deeply saddened to read of Orm's passing. It's many years since we had contact, but I used to baby sit Kathryn in Copeland Street Lower Hutt, I now live in Waikanae. My cousin Jenny Schmidt of Picton kept me up to date on your family. Blessings to you all at this sad time. Glenys Morgan(née Maunder).

To Margaret and all the Collins whanau, it is with a great deal of sadness I learn of your loss. I will always remember Orm's cheerful disposition; his words and humour got me through some trying times. A top bloke with a heart of gold. I have seen footage of the 'Celebration of Orm's life' and the crowd there was clear evidence of the positive impact he had on so many people. Kindest regards to you all at this time.

To Margaret and whanau, So saddened to hear of Orm's passing. I am a foundation student of Queen Charlotte College and Orm was one of my tutors. He will be remembered with very fond memories. I actually got to know the person when I started working at Picton ITM when he would come in for different items. Loved his dry sense of humour! On behalf of my Mother, Miriam Sullivan and my siblings, Mark,John and Pauline (now Pickering) please accept our sincere thoughts love and prayers. May you find courage to face this change in your lives and may you find peace and happiness in your own special memories.

Dearest Marg and whanau, Ruth and I are overseas walking a Camino in Spain. We have heard of Orm's peaceful passing through a answer phone message from our house sitters. We send our sincerest love and thoughts at this time as you all mourn the loss. Orm undoubtedly has been a giant Totara for all of you. Ruth and I have always looked on with great admiration at your large extended family. Orm and Margaret always embracing each one of you with total unconditional love. I particularly will always remember Orm as stoic, fun loving, family man, always into being active and looking after himself. We will be lighting some candles here in Spain and saying prayers from here and blowing them across the oceans.
