RNZAF Flight Sergeant

Passed away peacefully with family nearby, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Waterlea Lifecare. Aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband of Ariel, loved father of Ricky (deceased), and Kelly. Stepfather of Sharlene, Ken, David, Susan and Colin. A loved grandfather. Messages may be sent to the Thompson Family, c/- P O Box 110, Blenheim 7240. A funeral service for Richard will be held at Sowman's Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutcheson and Parker Streets, Blenheim, at 1.00pm on Friday, March 8, followed by interment at Fairhall Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of Richards passing. I walked with him and Ariel and all our dogs for many years. He was my dog Cedars best friend cos he had an endless supply of tennis balls. They were lovely, great days. Condolences to the family in particular to Ariel. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the funeral as I am currently touring the South Island and will be in Invercargill on Friday. Thought are with you Ariel xx
