GOLDING, Scott (Scotty):
James "Scott" Golding, aged 78, born May 20, 1944, in Christchurch Hospital was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Hospice Marlborough, after battling cancer for 18 months. Scott, son of Jean Scott 'Golding' was a loyal loving husband of 57 years marriage to Joan Golding 'Olsen', a valued brother to Reece, Lyndsay and Peter, a loved and adored father to Debbie and Steven and respected grandfather to Deon, Simon, Lenard, Daniel, Ella and the late Kayanne and caring great-grandad to Malaki, Tahlia and Blake. Served in the Royal New Zealand Navy, served in the Putaruru Fire Brigade for 32 years and Fire Chief for 10 years, served at Port Marlborough as security for 10 years residing in Picton at 63 Devon Street where he spent his final years as a respected patron and valued member to the Crow Tavern. There will be a celebration on the West Coast over the Christmas period where his cherished friends and family will have a gathering in commemoration for the extraordinary life of Scott where they will scatter his ashes to lay. A special thanks to Marlborough Hospice for the outstanding care and support they provided for Scott during his stay there.
