Stella and Russell Robb

It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to Sue.
As a member of our book group Sue was a knowledgeable and widely read and talented contributor. She was also considered a dear friend by members who received kindness and advice from her.
Sue and Roger also shared some regular lunch dates with us and the Poswillows - these occasions were keenly looked forward to and much enjoyed.
I regarded Sue as a much respected fellow health professional and we shared many chats about the changes and developments in health.
Sue shared her past "Oldie" magazines from the UK with us which prompted much laughter and stimulating enjoyment.
We apologise to Roger and family for not being present at Sue's funeral. Russell was in hospital at the time and I was in Nelson supporting him. Sadly, age and illness interfered with our attendance.
Farewell dear lady. We will remember you with love.
Stella and Russell Robb.

Roger,we were so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. It was always much appreciated that she found time to visit our mum when she was in the U.K. May she rest in peace. Our thoughts are with you and the boys.

I will treasure the little iver 3 years that I have known Sue. What an interesting, adventurous lady having left the quiet of Norfolk to adventure to Botswana and New Zealand. I loved the moments we chatted at sewing on a Friday, admired her beautiful hand sewing made with love. Go safely Sue, you willve sorely missed. My thoughts ate with Roger and your boys.

Memories of my cousin, Sue, by Zoe.
The eldest of the cousins on the Ireland side of the family, Sue and I have shared parellels during our lives. We saw each other during childhood and in our 20s.
Sue became an Au Pair in Sweden and I became a Nanny in England. We both married and had 2 sons each that are close in age. After divorces, we married again to husbands younger than us. That proved to be wonderful to all concerned! Thank you, Roger and Cliff.
Sue and I enjoyed decades of correspondence - and yes some of it was letters - on paper. We talked about the places we were living and the different countries and experiences. She visited us when I lived in the San Francisco Bay area and we had such a good time together showing her around.
When she and Roger left Botswana, Africa and their numerous adventures there, they emigrated to New Zealand. We chattered about the farm at Wild Goose Chase and Sue was able to develop her love of Roses which we both shared. When they moved to Springlands, she was able to continue her Rose growing and we exchanged so many photos of our favorites.
Sue soldiered on for years with her disability and our cousin in Spain, Karen and I called her the Bionic Woman as she had so many metal replacement parts. Although Sue travelled, she had a hard time going through security at the airports, setting off the alarms time and again! My cousin was a wonderful quilter, artist, a caring and loving lady. In photos of her that I cherish
she is always smiling.
You are carefree, painfree and happy, now, Sue, but you've left a big gap down here.
I miss you terribly, cousin.
Cliff and I send our heartfelt love and sympathies to families and friends.
God Bless.
Spring Creek Friday Quilters
April 25, 2023
With much sadness our Springcreek Friday Quilters lost a special member, Sue.
Sue was a most generous and thoughtful person who told many a funny story regarding her life in England and then in Zimbabwe. We always looked forward to the continuing of some stories the following week.
A very confident quilter making quilts mostly for gifts to friends and family. Sue also enjoyed painting. Her smile and confident way she accepted her illness was truly brave........
Sue all members will talk of you and remember you in all "Good Ways" forever you will remain with us.
