Mrs Mitchell was my teacher form 1 bohally in1971, I remember one day the class had a picnic day at a local swimming hole,my friend Jon was pulled from the water, blue in color and not breathing, Mrs Mitchell performed mouth to mouth and brought him back, If it wasn't for Mrs Mitchell's actions that day my mate Jon wouldn't be with us today,

Mrs Mitchell taught me at Springland School in the late 1960's. She would read to us every day books like Jungle Book and the poems of AA Milne When We Were Very Young & Now We Are Six. This instilled a love of books, and I treasure my AA Milne books to this day. She was a great teacher, my thoughts are with you all.

I'm so sorry and sad that Sue has passed away. I treasured my friendship with her, which sparked when I began visiting her two years ago -----every Friday, with my St John's therapy dog Emma. Discovering that we were both ex-teachers, our conversations flourished!! Being with Sue was such a pleasure and Emma and I will miss her dreadfully. Be at peace Sue you were a special lady.
