To Isabelle and all the Nally family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Syd. All of these messages bring back lots of good memories of growing up around Elizabeth St and Dix Crescent- I remember those times well. Syd and your family made a great contribution to soccer in Blenheim. I am still friends now with many of the girls I played with and I often think of those times fondly. I hope that your happy memories of him will bring you comfort in the hard days ahead. "one sunset on earth is a sunrise in heaven". ...Thinking of you all.

I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. Syd was a lovely man and a really good Soccer Coach too. I've known you guys a few decades now, right back to Kotuku Marching Days, even before soccer. I have fond memories of playing soccer with you Isabelle and Syd coaching us, but I also remember how supportive you were to your kids in their sports. I remember you taking your bus on many trips to support Karyn and our marching team and making toast for the whole team. You are awesome parents and friends. I'm so sorry for your loss. Syd was a really good man!!!

Syd was a real gentleman in every sense. A great sense of humour, always a twinkle in his eye and a genuine caring for all his family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visits and his trips to Taranaki .

He was a asset to coaching our Soccer club and rep teams. I have such great memories of that special time. We organized nz tournaments, travelled around NZ playing football and had alot of laughs along the way. He always had a smile and time to share . thanks
