Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, September 16, 2024, aged 93 years. Dearly loved father of Kerry, Trish, Graham, Benjamin, David, Colin, Cindy and Robyn. Loved brother and uncle. Dearly loved Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Great-Great-Grandfather. Tommy was a legend from his whaling days in Cook Strait and a true tangata whenua conservationist when he came back to Tory Channel for 12 winters to show us how to find humpbacks. A lovely man with a great sense of humour. I'm privileged to have known, enjoyed and learnt so much from you.
