Bill was in my class at Springlands Primary School . In Standard 1 our teacher was Mrs Snowden .One day Bill brought Mrs Snowden a bunch of flowers .Mrs Snowden asked Bill if he knew what the flowers were called .Bill replied "no" . Mrs Snowden then told him they were called "Sweet William ". Whenever I see these flowers I remember this story . I will plant some in memory of Bill.
In later years - after his official retirement he built a deck for us at Whatamango Bay .He did an excellent job .
I am so sorry to hear he has passed away .

So sad to hear of Bills passing a school friend from day on at Springlands to his final day at Marlborough Boys College. Very kind and respectful man who was willing to help others. He may be gone but will not be forgotten by those who knew him.
