William JOHNSON Obituary

JOHNSON, William Edward (Sonny), of 3 Pilcher Ave, Bluff: Suddenly, on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Southland Hospital. Aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Isabel. Much loved father and father-in-law of Joy Officer and friend of Jim, Gordon and Sandra Johnson, June and Bruce Hamlin, Eileen and John Mears. Loved grandfather and great grandfather of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved son of the late Kate and Bill (Two-Ton) Johnson. Loved brother of the late Adeline Croft (twin), Douglas and Sylvia Johnson, Marj and Nobby Calder. Loved brother-in-law of Alwyn and Dorothy Hoskins, and the late Jim and Mamie Hoskins, Clarrie and Thelma Hoskins, Bill and Esma Hoskins. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Waikiwi Gardens Resthome for all their wonderful care. Sonny will be resting at 3 Pilcher Ave, Bluff. A service for Sonny will be held in J Fraser & Sons' Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 11am, on SATURDAY, November 2, the funeral then leaving for the Greenpoint Cemetery.
