Zeta MAXTED Obituary
Passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2025, aged 91 years, at Ashwood Retirement Village, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Bryan Maxted, cherished mother of Dennis and Shelley, Paul and Debbie, the late Bruce, Gavin and Cathy and Julie and Yardy Chapman. Adored Nana, great-Nana and great-great-Nana. Our heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful staff at Ashwood Retirement Village. A private family celebration of life will be held in honor of Zeta. I was so sorry to hear that Zeta passed away. I worked with Zeta at the Marlborough Laundry for many years. We had a lot of laughs, I have so many wonderful memories of that time. She was a lovely Lady. She talked about her family all the time. Rest in Peace dear Zeta.

Zeta & Bryan were friends of my parents, then Zeta came over to Wellington for Cancer treatment, she managed to escape to my place for the weekend, after which we became friends too. Zeta was a very talented and gifted soul who gave comfort to a lot of people, even my cousin from Canada.
